Your Reason Why: Who Are You Here to Be?

Jan 14, 2025

To answer this question is to embark on a hero's journey - the journey to the inner self. I believe we are all significant. Our birth was not an accident; when you consider the miracle of creating a new human life, it is profound. We are significant.

Somehow, along humanity's journey, what we do has become the primary focus. We ask our young generation early on, "What will you do when you grow up?" We don't ask who they are meant to be, to become. This focus on doing often leads to an existential crisis: "What am I doing with my life?" The question itself reveals our societal bias toward action over essence.

To shift from doing to being is not easy; it goes against the system, the status quo. It takes courage and bravery. People who show up in my space are often exhausted from the endless cycle of doing. More doing doesn't fit. When I ask, "Who are you here to be?" a profound transformation begins. In this vulnerable space, we touch their deeper selves and tap into an inner knowing.

This is where the real work begins. Through life timeline exploration, I witness their Reason Why woven throughout their stories. It helps to have me there, reflecting back on how they have been honouring their true essence all along - they are not beginning now. It is who they are; we simply uncover it and bring it to light. When they recognize this truth, it creates a decisive emotional moment. And from this full awareness of their Reason Why, they make their next choice with clarity and purpose.

What calls you? Who are you here to be?"
